Just Energy Transition (JET) Jobs First project (SAJJOF) is a project supported by the African Development Bank (AfDB) and other international partners that focuses on the social inclusion aspect of South Africa’s shift from coal to cleaner energy sources. The project’s primary objective is to support women, youth, and other vulnerable groups in the Mpumalanga province—an area heavily reliant on coal power—who may face job losses as coal plants are decommissioned.
